Nǐ hǎo!
Good to come home to some warmer weather (thankfully no snow) and back to studying…
Apparently, before I left for China, I scheduled my BEC exam for May 21st; thus leaving me 3 weeks to pound MCQs.
In the last 3 days, I have already covered 20 percent in the NINJA MCQS and I am trending around 60 percent! I feel like I remember some information from the last time I took BEC… almost a year ago.
Speaking of years (you can’t buy this paragraph transition), I have been on this journey for 2 years now.
I have lost my REG credit and spent thousands of my wonderful dollars on testing fees, Prometric fees, study materials, coffee’s, adult beverages, etc. Where is my level of motivation?
Well, my jetlagged self and my wife had a conversation last week about “Is it time to give-up?” and “do you really want it?” She expressed frustration about the time I am not around/headphones plugged in and the costs associated with taking the exams.
The point of the conversation was basically an ultimatum to finish the CPA Exam by the end of 2016 and to become a family member again.
A lot of pressure to stop half-a$$ing my study sessions and exam attempts. I do not sit well with that kind of pressure, but it has got me to actually study these last 3 days so I can make a great attempt on the 21st! In the meantime, back to pounding MCQ’s.
There you have it folks – let us all finish this year and keep swimming!
