Week 8:

This week I have taken and passed the Utah Rules and Laws test needed to become a CPA. I hope to finish off the ethics test before the test results come out on the 17th. These tests are a lot less painful than the big 4 and still leave me with plenty of time to spend with family and my hobbies.

I have been thoroughly enjoying my time since the test on Feb 21. I didn’t realize how much my 3 year old son has grown up during the last 9 months of studying until these last 2 weeks. I wanted to show my appreciation to my wife’s support through this CPA ordeal so I am sending her on a retreat for a week to go see her best friend in Montana (without the toddler). She will leave Thursday this week and be gone until Wednesday the next week.

Besides this I have made an effort to go on a date each week with my wife. A couple of the hobbies I am jumping into are running and basketball. I have really picked up my mileage per week for my marathon training. My marathon is in June and I have a 5K coming up in 3 weeks. Besides this I coach a young men’s team whose members are 15-17 years old.

They are playing in a single elimination tournament the next two weekends. Life is great hopefully all I have to worry about after the 17th is getting my application in and continuing education. I feel good about it but like the rest of you won’t know for sure until the scores post around March 17th.

Darling, dearest. I can see you have missed how much your son has grown up. He is FOUR years old now. Love and kisses! Your wife.

As I was cleaning out my kids toys I realized that my daughter has 'grown' out of her childhood toys and is ready to move into the next stage. It's amazing how quickly time flies & you can't remeber how old your children are. Enjoy the time off, spoil your son and wife & get back to life!

Haha! Good for you for letting her have a week to herself! That is much needed I'm sure!
