Vanessa is a NINJA CPA blogger.
Recently I have been studying for Regulation. It’s been quite the challenge to say the least, having three weeks to study for REG is not enough time.
I’ve been searching high and low for the best techniques to absorb as much material as possible in such a short amount of time.
Many of my peers advised me to simply skip the videos and just work on MCQ. Unfortunately, I've tried this method before and it hasn’t worked for me so I am skeptical try it again.
Right now, my plan of attack is to watch the lecture videos on only the tax portion and do all the NINJA MCQs and SIMS.
So far, it’s been a tough process. Considering it’s busy season and I’m also in grad school, things have been hard to manage time wise. Rescheduling has come to mind, but that’s something I really don’t want to do because this is the last time I can take the old version of REG.
On another note, BEC scores come out next week. The waiting process is scaring me and anxiety has kicked in. I don’t want to disappoint my peers and family with another failing score.
After so many failed attempts, the thought of another fail makes me feel like I am not smart enough and that I am not worthy of being a CPA. I guess we really are our own worst critic, but I will press forward and continue to do the best that I can.
Till next time.
