Hello fellow NINJAs!
October and November were very busy months for me. I took FAR in October and then crammed for BEC in November. I did not pass either exam.
I blame my failure on lack of time to fully review and absorb the material. I went into FAR having covered only these topics: Governmental, Non-Profits, Earnings per share, and installment sales. I was missing a lot of material due to the time constraint.
The exam was not hard; I just wasnt ready I think a 68 is pretty close to the 75 points I needed to pass. I plan to regroup and retake both exams in the next testing window. I am still waiting for my letters from the IL Board of Examiners that show my weak areas so I can know what I need to focus on.
I have never given up on anything in life and the CPA exam will not be a first for me. I am currently working on passing my Ethics exam which expires on 12/15. After that I plan on reviewing my NINJA Notes and Audio and then practicing my Wiley MCQs continuously.
December is jam packed with Christmas parties and preparing for the heavier work load due to year end close and the audit at my job, so studying may have less hours this month. Fortunately for me, I have already studied this material and just need to add a little more to what I already know.
One thing I know for sure is that I will not pay for my next exam until I am fully prepared and confident in my ability to answer the MCQs with at least 80% accuracy. I have learned my lesson the hard way about paying for an exam before I am ready.
If I have to wait longer to find an open time to test, so be it. That time will be utilized to practice the 4300 MCQs that I have in my test bank!
