Shaila is a NINJA CPA Blogger.
I am exactly three weeks from my BEC challenge.
Ive had to adjust my study plan several times and even push out my exam date by a few days, to incorporate just plain procrastination on my part. Im not proud.
Im beginning to panic because this test is harder than I thought. Im finishing up the Financial Management section, which leaves two more sections.
Financial Management is HARD! Too many formulas! Too many wrong answers! I havent even checked out the written communications.
It takes me a lot longer to go through the sections than the estimated times my study plan uses because I write everything down. Theres just so much material that I need to summarize, take notes, and have it all there for me when I do my final review.
Having to think about what material to write down while reading really helps me process the material. We all know how boring/complicated it can be.
Hopefully I can finish all the sections in a week and a half, then review for a week and a half. I want to be able to review weak sections, hit a bunch of MCQs, rewrite the NINJA Notes, go over the flash cards, and figure out the written communications during that time. Its my birthday this week, but I just want to focus on studying.
Ive found this to be a really appropriate phrase for CPA exam studying: Dont put off until tomorrow what you can do today.” No more slacking.
