Still waiting for my miracle. I took REG last Saturday and for the first time in 3 tests I ran out of time.
I finished all the MCQs with about an hour and half to spare, so I figured I was in good shape for the sims.
I got through three or four sims and spent WAY too long on one. Then I looked at the clock and had only 15 minutes to complete three more!
WHAT?! Where did the time go?
So I rushed through reading the sims and all the info and tried my best at the calculations. I honestly guessed on some and probably used some of the info in the calculations that I shouldnt have. You know how they give you way too many details and you have to sort through what you actually need to solve the problem.
My piece of advice for anyone taking REG (because I have talked to others who also found themselves short of time), is to look at every sim before answering them.
Work the ones you are comfortable with first so you can be sure to have enough time to think them through and answer correctly without feeling rushed. Then move on to the others. I didnt do thisI worked them in order and didnt manage my time well.
Lessons learned
All I can say is that I hope two of those last 3 sims were pretest, and that I rocked the MCQs. But I cant waste too much time hoping. I have to move on to the next test to be prepared to take it in January.
That way I will have enough time to study again for this one and take it in Q1 2013 so I dont lose my score for AUD. Next week I will start studying for FAR. But this week I have been enjoying catching up on all my recorded TV shows and pretending to have a social life for a few minutes.
