Waiting for my test score two weeks after taking BEC is torture enough but Im happy to say that I finally beat my biggest nemesis
I passed BEC!!
Alright, maybe Im too quick to say my biggest nemesis because I do have FAR and AUD remaining but BEC was one of my worst nightmares. Scoring back-to-back-to-back 74 is not best feeling in the world.
I didnt give up. Instead, I took a break from it. I focused on REG at the time and then went back to BEC with a bit of a fresh mind.
My next goal is to tackle FAR and hopefully take it at the end of February. Just looking at my book, its going to take some time and I dont want to rush through the modules either.
That may be a lot more difficult to do because December looks like a packed schedule with holiday and a family cruise planned, but I am taking my books with me. I hope to be able to get in at least two hours a day. I cant afford to waste a week with no studying.
One fear I do have, is trying to get a position with an accounting firm. Im not working in the accounting industry at the moment and Ive had a difficult time trying to get my foot in the door. I would like to start working under a licensed CPA but I dont think what I am doing is exactly working.
For those that are currently in the accounting world, how did the door open for you?
