Its amazing how time gets away from you. It has been a little over a month since my last blog post. The last month has been significantly more hectic than usual.
A project came up at work that basically doubled our workload for the month. Fortunately we are pretty much through the rough parts of the project.
Due to the increase in hours at work, I will not be ready in time to take Audit in May. This means that I will have to sit for the new Audit exam. The change involves clarified Statements on Auditing Standards (SASs).
I am hopeful that the overall impact will not be too significant. Procrastination bites me once again. I am going to schedule my first and hopefully only attempt at Audit for July 2. This will give me about 7 weeks of study time.
I am starting my study plan this week. I will be on the Early Late plan. I go to the gym on my lunch breaks, and I am not willing to give that up. My game plan is to get 1.5 hours of study time in the morning and at least another 1.5 hours in the evening. I will study as much as I can on the weekends for a total of at least 20 hours a week.
If and when spring decides to finally stick around in the Midwest, evening activities with the kids will be picking up. Study time will be competing with my kids T-Ball and swim team practices, games, and meets. Any lost time will just have to be made up on the weekends.
I am looking forward to getting started and more importantly finishing! It is painful to think that had I made an honest effort and been consistent, I could have been done with all 4 sections by now.
Later NINJAs.
Mike
