Hello to all NINJAS!
It feels as though I only write in on days I'm testing, of course over the last couple of months it also feels as though that's all I've been focused on. So a little review.
Since my last post I've taken BEC, found out I didn't pass, and have completed my studying for AUD. I'm headed to Prometric in about 30 minutes.
I feel that I've put in a lot of effort into learning this material, and have to admit that working in audit hasn't hindered my ability to understand it. Over the past couple of days I keep hearing the same thing over and over and I'm starting to think it's a sign.
What I keep hearing is the old quote: the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. I tried to find the source and determined it was either Einstein or Ben Franklin.
The message within the quote has really got me thinking. Over the last two years I've continually taken and failed these tests and I have decided that it's not the fact that I'm not studying enough, but that I continue to study in the same way.
So, I've come to the conclusion that after today I'm taking a bit of a break to reassess my study strategy and then get right back into it as I have FAR scheduled for late July.
I hope that by stepping back and taking a hard look at what I've been doing helps me understand where I'm going wrong and to fix the issues. But for right now I'm gonna go back to tipping pies with cdog and making sure to trace my path. If you've studied AUD you'll get it, if not, you will soon.
Best of luck to all those testing in these last couple days of the window!
