Hello fellow aspiring CPAs!

My name is Heather and I am from a small town in Cleveland, Georgia. I am married to a fireman (who is currently in paramedic school; we have no life!) and we have a very spoiled beagle named Saydie, but no kids yet!

In 2010, I received my Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from North Georgia College & State University. Shortly after receiving my Bachelors, I started the Master’s program at Brenau University where I graduated in December 2011.

After getting all my schooling behind me, I wanted to take a break for a little bit and enjoy my 2nd tax season! So, I started my CPA Exam journey in May 2012. Little did I know just how hard this journey was going to be, and how much work goes into studying.

So far, I’ve taken REG 2 times and BEC once…and have failed all three ?. Just like many CPA Exam candidates, I was extremely discouraged and was really wondering if being a CPA was really for me.

Then I found Another71.com!!! With reading everyone’s encouraging posts and seeing that there are other people in the world that don’t pass on the first try, I’ve found my motivation again!

I actually think being a NINJA blogger will keep me motivated. I really want to try and tackle AUD before the changes in July, so my goal is to take that section at the end of May.
