Greetings all,

I hope everyone's studying went better than mine during the last week.

Needless to say I have not been an honor roll/model student so there is not much to tell. I must confesses I have dreaded writing this blog all day.

I always pride myself in having completed my homework, etc, and I did not. Furthermore, I feel like the student who did not do the reading and was called upon. My face is RED.

Perhaps, this will encourage me never to let this occur again. I need to hold myself accountable. I have read from other bloggers how they were excited to blog to hold themselves accountable and now I am not adding myself to that category.

As you might recall in my prior blog I mentioned how I made quantifiable goals of what I planned to accomplish that week and had planned to hold myself accountable. Well I made the goals – that is a start right?

As a reminder I had anticipated listening to my audio 3 times, going through the NINJA Notes and writing key points or points that I want to constantly go over, and also make flash cards from the NINJA Notes. I also wanted to answer all questions from Ch 1 and 2 and write down any key take away.

What I accomplished: I went through my notes and wrote the key points. Seeing as I have zero ability to restrain myself when writing notes or when I am highlighting, I nearly re-wrote all the notes. Additionally, I did answer some of the questions.

Last week was spring break. I had an exam when I returned and I have no idea what happened when I was on break. I am convinced I was in a fast forward version. Then during the week I buckled down and was studying though honestly I should have studied more.

My exam is over and I need to get back on track. I certainly do not want to write next week that I did not study again. I am the goodie two shoes as a student and now that I realize how miserable I am, I believe I learned a lesson.

My homework for the week is to answer chapter 1 and 2 questions writing down key take away, make flash cards, and listen to the NINJA Audio 4 times as I will have my long commute as usual.

I received my NTS, though I was unable to schedule as apparently there was a problem with the Prometric website and then with my exam. I am thinking of postponing till April 10th or so. I will advise next week.

Have an enjoyable week and hopefully some good study time in there. For all of those in tax, you are almost there. Though who am I kidding? If you work in tax you are most definitively not reading this.
