Danielle is a weekly NINJA CPA Blogger.
Well, I am couple of practice exams away from being done studying for REG before my exam. For the past week, I have been reworking all my multiple-choice questions and have done very well. I would score in the 90's or 80's on pretty much every practice session.
There were a couple of areas that I identified that were weaker, but I have reviewed those sections and practiced more problems on those. I have noticed that I definitely am not as strong on the law sections as on the tax. I have been using my flashcards to really drill the concepts and terminology into my brain.
I grew up playing soccer, and was pretty superstitious with pregame rituals. So I think I am going to change up what I have done in the past.
Normally I look like a bum on exam day because I want to be comfortable. I think this time I am going to do my hair, makeup, and even paint my nails. I know that sounds nuts, but I want to feel “put together.” IF I pass I will probably go to the testing center in my old prom dresses every time after this!
I have been told many times about the inverse relationship between happiness and passing the CPA exam, and I hope that is true because I have been so miserable. I have been taking things out on my family and my boyfriend, and I feel horrible about it because they are nothing but supportive. I am lucky to have them!
I hope all of you have people who support you through this process! If you do, try to do something nice for them to let them know you appreciate them. It will make them smile!
Good luck to anyone taking an exam this week!!!
