Clint is a NINJA CPA Blogger.
At the beginning of the year I, like many, made a New Years resolution. Typically, I dont do these sorts of things but its been pretty busy here lately and I figured it was as good a time as any to quit postponing certain things.
More specifically, I wanted to get a regular workout regimen. However, its already been difficult to maintain my current schedule and continue a study plan for the CPA exam.
Thankfully, I have the NINJA Audio which is great to use while working out.
Its been good because Im keeping up with my studying while finding time for exercise. I also read an article the other day that exercising soon after studying helps your brain remember what you studied, so maybe that will help with retaining this information.
Anyways, Im a little behind on what I had planned for MCQs but I still have a week left before Regulation. Current count: 1,000 MCQs; NINJA notes – 2 rewrites and multiple reviews; NINJA audio More than I had planned. Hopefully I can do 500 over the next week.
On a side note, the score release for my FAR exam was an exciting event. Much like many others, I was initially confident after the exam then thinking I had failed especially closer to the score release.
I checked every hour or so on Monday and since they didnt get released until later in the day, I didnt actually get my score until Tuesday.
An 84!!
I was pleased and it provides some great motivation to study harder for Regulation to ensure that another passing score is in the works.
The study plan over the next week is to burn through MCQs and go through a final review of the NINJA Notes the day before the exam. Even though Ive done fewer MCQs this time around I feel more confident with REG than I did with FAR. Hopefully that relates to a good score in the actual exam.
