I’m Not Giving Up: Moving on from FAR Score

NINJA CPA Review

Clarissa is a NINJA CPA Blogger.

Well, my news for the score release was not what I had hoped it would be.

And as soon as that score popped up on the screen, so many thoughts started running through my head: “I give up with this exam”, “I’m not good enough to pass this exam”, “I can’t study correctly to pass”, “I’m not motivated enough to pass this exam”.

But in reality, none of those thoughts or excuses are good enough.

I know that I can do this. I’ve always been a straight A, honors student. I’ve seen so many inspirational people post in the forum about how many times they’ve taken this test and I’m not giving up.

I will continue to study for and take this exam, I just need to reevaluate my study plan and study materials. I’ve taken almost 2 weeks off from studying and am feeling much better physically and emotionally and not burnt out anymore. I’m ready once and for all to tackle this exam and pass every single part.

I just printed out the entire NINJA BEC Book and am starting from scratch with BEC today. I’ll take BEC on the last day of May by putting in about 30 hours a week. With being unemployed, this should be an easy feat. I can’t go for much more than 30 hours a week because I lose focus and concentration after spending more than 4-5 hours a day of studying.

This exam is known to be a monster.
And you can tackle it many different ways, you just have to find what works for you. I’m learning more and more about myself in this studying journey every day and what works for me and what doesn’t.

Everyone is different and you have to find what works for you best, not what works for someone else. I’m going to tackle this monster and be a CPA!

Happy studying NINJAs!
