I managed to fit 2 tests into this past quarter. Was it smart to do? Sure, if I had passed. I got much closer to passing on the 2nd test than I did on the first.
The CPA Exam is no joke and definitely not something to be taken lightly. I knew this exam was challenging, but you can never appreciate the challenge until you’re in the middle of it.
I have taken on FAR and AUD and have not succeeded. It’s been a frustrating few months with life happenings and then not passing these exams. Am I going to let it get me down and give up? It crossed my mind.
Instead, I’m going to start fresh. I’m going to tackle BEC in July and pass it (hopefully). Then I’m going to retake AUD in August. I just need to change up my study habits and set an actual schedule.
With school out for the summer for my oldest, it will be easier for me not having to get her homework done every night. It also helps my husband has taken the summer off from classes so he can be Mr. Mom while I study.
Studying doesn’t come naturally to me, I was fortunate in high school and college to get great grades without having to study, but this is something completely different and it is challenging me in ways I never thought it would.
I don’t look at it as I have failed 2 tests; I look at it as I have found 2 ways of studying that don’t work. Hopefully, the third time is the charm. It’s discouraging to look at my scores and not see 75 or above, but I will get past it. Starting fresh and finding a new way to study is what I plan on doing.
To all of us in Q3, we can get past this and move on with our lives! Good luck to us all while we study!
