Ben is a NINJA CPA Blogger.
Hey NINJAs-
Well, Ive scheduled my last 2 exams: REG on April 19, and FAR is penned in for May 29. I know it may seem like a short turnaround, but my primary motivation is a summer free of Jeff Elliott.
No offense, Jeff. Youre the man.
The NINJA Notes, Audio, and newly discovered Flashcards are a pivotal part of my success on these exams. However, Im eager to conquer these remaining sections and become a licensed CPA.
Honestly, the information in REG has been a lot harder to grasp than what I had hoped. I knew that taxation would give me some problems, but I thought business law would be common sense, or at least enjoyable to study.
Certain areas have given me problems. Contract Law, Commercial Paper, and Bankruptcy: these all tried my patience. Im still not sure if I completely understand Commercial Paper, but believe Ive finally moved past the other two.
Thats really what the CPA Exam is all about. If youre like me, none of it really comes easy. You have to slowly chip away at it and eventually the hard work will pay off.
I have a lot of work to do before April 19, but as of today Im feeling cautiously optimistic. I believe in these next ten days I can hammer out 1500 MCQs, which will put me at my goal of 3500 in the Wiley test bank.
Ive been experiencing 6-day workweeks, but Im lucky enough to have Saturday off. A full weekend should grant me a nice chance to work on my problem areas.
I hope the rest of you are making good progress in your studies. I wish you all the best on your April exams.
