I had watched a few Rocky movies growing up because my dad was a big fan, but I never really paid attention to them. Last month, AMC started playing them and my husband forced me to watch parts 1, 2 & 3.
I found myself glued to them and quickly realized why hubby was insisting on me watching them. Rockys perseverance reminded me of mine with this exam, and I imagined myself crying with relief like he did after his fights when I am finally done with the exam!
Last week, I had posted that I felt behind and perhaps I just like a little pressure since I managed to finish Ch. 2 & 3 over the weekend. Chapter 3 was no joke. The supplement questions in Becker were kicking my butt, and I ended up doing some of them three times! I dont feel 100% confident with them yet.
There are so many formulas to remember and understand that even though I wrote them down, I think I will only feel fully prepared when I have worked those problems out again and again.
I tend to retain information only when I apply it. I also saw Jeffs post on how to pass an exam in 20 days and totally agree that at this point its all about doing the MCQs & notes again and again.
So I am moving on and hoping I can finish Ch. 4 & 5 this weekend. Although, I know I am petrified of Ch. 5 since it involves variances. They start off simple and then the two-way, three-way and four-way make me want to scream and ask someone, Does anyone use this and apply it to their job?? Or is this just another tool by the AICPA to torture us?
Anyway, my plan is to get past these two chapters so that I can then dedicate the next two weeks to reviewing and working on my weak areas.
So with Eye of the Tiger on repeat on my iPod, I am slowly making it to the ring. Study hard fellow fighters.
