So, yesterday was my first day of Roger CPA Review. I’m starting out with FAR, so I had 8 hours of Roger’s energy to keep me going.

I have to say, he makes it make sense.

Since we covered 8 chapters, I figured I should go over 2 chapters a night to help retain all the info. I am very proud to say that I did the first 2 chapters tonight! I can also say that I am familiar with most of it (it’s at least in my short term memory), but only knowledgeable on about half of it. I didn’t know there was a difference between familiar and knowledgeable until I started studying for the CPA exam. But between you, me and the fence post, I am becoming woefully aware of the difference.

The two chapters a night will leave Friday open, so I’m thinking of taking it off from studying. I haven’t completely decided as I haven’t started doing MCQ’s from the Wiley software, yet. I have just done my homework questions that are in Roger’s book.

I have thrown myself a curveball in that I am also signed up to start REG this weekend. So, Saturday will be 8 hours of REG and Sunday will be 8 hours of FAR. I’m hoping to still have a brain after 5 pm on Sunday!
