It’s been over a week since I took REG, and I don’t feel very good about it, but then I never feel very good about REG. I only had a couple of questions that came out of left field and probably should have been on another exam, and one simulation that didn’t make any sense to me at all.

I didn’t leave anything blank. I answered every question and put a number in every space on the simulations. The simulations were actually fairly straight forward. The multiple choice questions are what I am the most afraid will cause me to fail.

All in all Roger CPA Review definitely covered all of the material. I just hope I didn’t get myself confused and miss easy questions. I definitely feel like I did better than the last time when I ran out of the room to throw up and lost a bunch of time. Finding out whether or not I got the extra 14 points will have to wait until September.

My biggest problem with REG is that the material confuses me so much because of all of the exceptions and limits. I reviewed Jeff’s NINJA notes and went through the Wiley Focus Notes on my phone before I went in to test.

At this point I’m praying for the best and preparing for the worst. I really want to go through my house and put every review book, CD, notebook and flashcard in a box ready for a bon fire in September, but I’m afraid. I know that only the REG information would be current and the material that I have for FAR is extremely out of date, but I can’t bring myself to take that step to say I’m done until I see the score.

I’m trying not to get my hopes up and have resigned myself to taking REG again in October hopefully followed very quickly by FAR, which I have passed but would have lost on the 6th of August if I failed REG.

I would have written my blog post about my testing experience earlier but I have been out of commission for the last week. Last Sunday I went to Wal-Mart to pick up dog food and thought I tore the rotator cuff in my right shoulder picking up the 40# bag.

I found out Friday that my shoulder is fine but I have a degenerating vertebrate in my back which has a bunch of nerves and blood vessels pinched. My right hand is just now getting to the point that I can type again. I had all of these great plans when I finished the exam and nothing has gotten done. My house isn’t clean and George and Gracie, the dust bunnies living under my bed, are still in residence.

I did manage to finish getting my son registered for his online school. Traditional school just wasn’t for him so we opted to put him in an online public school for the first time. I was very impressed with the program and feel that he will do better without all of the distractions of other students, not to mention he is now in his home environment that is free of the mold that he is highly allergic.

At least one thing got accomplished while I’ve been in a prescription induced fog for the last week. Speaking of prescription induced fog, my pills are kicking in and I’m out for the night. Good luck everyone!

As always, i enjoy reading ur blog. How much time did u allot for the SIMS? I failed this part in May due to my SIMS being weaker in comparison even though I'm mostly stronger or comparable on the MCQs. I guess you can no longer underestimate the pull SIMS have on the total score, after all it is now 40%...I have a feeling u'll be firing up those study material on a bon fire come Sept..Best of luck to u Cricket and thanks for sharing ur experiences with us!
